Digitise, Analyse, and Innovate-Build the Future of Your Parts with IMR
Unlock the next level of part innovation with Digital 3D Scanning of Parts from Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR), Ireland’s national centre for advanced manufacturing and digital transformation. This service, co-created with industry clients over three years of hands-on design consultations, gives manufacturing and product development organisations the digital building blocks they need to accelerate design, reverse engineering, and quality assurance. With five days of dedicated digitalisation support from IMR’s expert team, you’ll gain not only precise 3D scans and actionable data, but also the technical insight to turn those scans into real-world innovation.
What to Expect
1-to-1 Online Consultation: Begin your journey with a focused online meeting to discuss your part, project goals, and technical requirements. This ensures the scanning process and subsequent analysis are tailored to your unique needs.
Comprehensive 3D Scanning and Data Capture: IMR’s engineers will conduct a thorough probing and/or scan of your part, capturing highly accurate digital data that forms the foundation for analysis and future innovation.
Technical Surface Comparison Report: Receive a detailed, one-page report featuring a heat map visualisation and assessment of surface deviations between your part’s scan data and its nominal CAD surfaces, supporting quality control and design validation.
Data Extraction and Innovation Support: Over two days, IMR’s in-house engineer will work with you and your team to extract usable data (in .stl format), generate conceptual drawings, and advise on the best pathways to leverage your digital assets for part innovation.
This service is delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams, with onsite options available for unique requirements.
Don’t let your next innovation wait-book Digital 3D Scanning of Parts with Irish Manufacturing Research today and turn your physical components into digital assets that power tomorrow’s breakthroughs.
