Where We Are & How We Work
Who is eligible to access FactoryXChange services?
FactoryXChange 2.0 is designed to support businesses and public organisations across Ireland, with a strong focus on the manufacturing sector.
• Most of our services (around 80%) are tailored for Irish enterprises, especially those involved in manufacturing or digital innovation.
• We also work with public organisations (about 20% of our users) that are engaged in non-commercial projects.
To access services:
• Businesses must meet basic EU and Enterprise Ireland eligibility rules, including limits on state aid (de minimis).
• Public organisations can access selected services without these limits, as long as they’re not using them for commercial purposes.
If you're unsure whether you’re eligible, just book a quick chat with one of our Digital Strategists (https://www.factoryxchange.ie/strategy)— we’ll guide you through it.
Do I need to register before speaking to someone?
No. You’re welcome to speak with a Digital Strategist (https://www.factoryxchange.ie/strategy)or contact our Customer Experience Lead (https://www.factoryxchange.ie/customersupport)before registering. If you decide to proceed with services, we’ll support you through a quick and secure registration process.
Do I need to sign a contract to use FXC services?
No long-term contract or financial commitment is required. However, each year, you will be asked to sign a Digital Maturity Assessment (DMA) form and complete a short eligibility declaration (e.g. de minimis self-declaration) before accessing funded services. See T&C's here. (https://www.factoryxchange.ie/terms-conditions)
Can I involve my team in the process?
Absolutely. While initial engagement often begins with a senior leader or manager, many of our services—including training and workshops—are designed for wider team participation.
Do I need to know what I’m looking for before I reach out?
Your FXC Digital Strategist will guide the conversation, help define your goals, and map out the most relevant services.
As part of this, the Digital Maturity Assessment (DMA) helps you understand your current level of digital maturity and identify key areas for improvement. The consultation will help you understand your business needs in changing times.
