Open Call Description:
Start-ups and SMEs in Ireland are invited to apply for the AUTOASSESS Open Call, a new EU-funded opportunity offering €500,000 in total funding to support the development of cutting-edge solutions for safe vessel inspection.
AUTOASSESS is building an innovative system that leverages AI and Robotics technologies to enable automated, safe, and efficient inspections of vessels. This open call seeks breakthrough technology solutions that can contribute to this mission.
Start-ups/SMEs will be invited to participate in AUTOASSESS:
Call #1 – Open Call for Tech Solutions (Closed)
Presenting their technology solutions to the use-case challenges identified by the AUTOASSESS technical team together with the use-case owners.
Call #2 – Open Call for Tech Innovations (Coming up)
To propose innovative technology solutions that they would envision (and duly justify) as of high value for the use-cases.
What to Offer:
Equity-free grants of up to €100,000 per selected project (five projects expected to be funded).
Access to expert mentorship, technical guidance, and tailored training from the AUTOASSESS team.
Opportunities to work with real-world infrastructure and demonstrators, accelerating technology validation and deployment.
Visibility and collaboration across the European innovation ecosystem, including potential for industry partnerships and future market opportunities.
Who Can Apply?
Start-ups and SMEs based in Ireland, or eligible under Horizon Europe, with relevant expertise in:
Artificial intelligence;
Robotics;
Automation;
Computer vision;
Sensors;
Related fields.
Applicants may apply individually or as a consortium (up to two entities).
Application Process:
Applications are open until 24 April 2025 at 17:00 CEST.

All proposals will be evaluated for their innovation, relevance to the use-case challenges, and potential impact.
Projects are expected to run for six months, starting January 2026.
