FactoryXChange is pleased to share a valuable opportunity for innovators, technologists, and entrepreneurs in Ireland working on sustainable solutions for the Blue Economy.Â
The ADT4Blue project, co-funded by the European Union, has launched its second open call (OC2). This call will support up to 30 innovative ideas that leverage advanced digital technologies to address 11 specific challenges across 8 Blue Economy domains, including aquaculture, marine renewable energy, and sustainable coastal tourism.Â
What are tech-enabled Blue Economy solutions?Â
These are innovations that apply advanced digital technologies—such as artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, satellite data, or digital twins—to address challenges or create new opportunities in ocean-based and water-related industries. This includes areas like sustainable fisheries, aquaculture, marine renewable energy, coastal tourism, and ocean monitoring.Â
ADT4Blue is looking for ideas that not only benefit the environment and economy, but also use digital tools to improve efficiency, sustainability, and resilience in marine and coastal sectors.Â
