About the Event
Bootcamp Description
The introduction of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) marks a significant milestone for Ireland as it transitions from a linear to a circular economy. Starting from the 2024 financial year, Irish companies subject to the CSRD will be required to disclose information on their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance in accordance with European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). Recognising that CSRD may be a challenging topic for smaller companies and that its requirements vary across different stages of business growth, KPMG has developed a CSRD Reporting Service to assist SMEs in achieving compliance. This service, informed by KPMG’s extensive ESG experience, aims to demystify CSRD and clarify its practical implications. By doing so, it will help align your company’s brand, business strategy, organisational structure, and internal processes with CSRD compliance obligations

Agenda to follow
What to expect?
These hybrid bootcamp and online style workshop service (co-created by KPMG and TUS) will be delivered by our multi-disciplinary advisory and consulting team to discuss the requirements of CSRD. As part of this 5-day service offering, KPMG FA will deliver two half-day Bootcamp sessions with participants as well as three online group sessions. The duration and cost of the service includes all engagement and preparatory effort to assist your business progress in your ESG/CSRD journey.
The focus of this engagement is to:
Develop literacy around CSRD including how it relates to the ESG topic and other ESRS components such as the EU Taxonomy and the Sustainable Financial Reporting Directive.
Introduce topics such as ‘disclosure’ and ‘materiality’ from various stakeholder perspectives and highlight any potential impacts, risks and opportunities (IROs).
Identify the indicators and KPIs by which SMEs can measure their environmental mitigation and adaptation efforts and social contribution (e.g., in the manufacturing, energy, building industries).
Examine how SMEs can effectively report and communicate their CSRD information – incl. how to leverage data for supply chain analysis and life-cycle assessment purposes.
Key Takeaways
Upon completion of this service your SME will develop an understanding of
CSRD disclosure and reporting requirements;
CSRD timelines and deadlines;
relevant KPIs for CSRD reporting; and
an overview of the data requirements for more effective, streamlined reporting.
