FXC Reference Number: EIMR30241 Ideas Made Real STEM Inside strives to empower teenage girls, especially those from underserved communities, by offering them hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) experiences. By enabling them to immerse themselves in these fields, we aim to help them envision their potential in STEM careers, guiding them to make informed decisions about their third-level education paths. Your students will embark on an exciting journey with Ideas Made Real’s immersive adventure, designed for young women eager to delve into the exciting realm of advanced manufacturing. Over a week-long engagement, your students will explore 3D Printing & Digitisation activities, fostering creativity and innovation with participants coming together on the final day into the heart of Irish Manufacturing Research’s cutting-edge facility. This immersive experience will elevate your students’ learning with an initiative designed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world industry demands. Our dynamic hybrid programme is a blend of online daily activity-based sessions and engaging on-site experiences, carefully curated to inspire young women and showcase the limitless possibilities available. The service consists of three elements which aim to encourage young people to consider careers and interests in the world of Advanced Manufacturing and STEM: • 2-hour long online sessions taking place from Monday to Thursday, with students learning the skills required to work with the STEM equipment. • A guided tour by our Ideas Made Real staff on Friday, allowing your students to explore a robotic cell, dive into the realm of additive manufacturing in our cutting-edge lab, immerse themselves in our XR room, and witness the inner workings of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. • Your students will engage in a series of STEM challenges, increasing motivation and interest towards the industry.
